Happy Thanksgiving!
At this time of year we are all focusing on what we are thankful for— friends, family, career, children; the list goes on and is different for everyone. I have always been one who is grateful for help with work, great customers and friends, and my family’s support of my dreams. There are many ways to show your gratitude… thank you notes, chocolates, flowers, gifts, and awards show you appreciate someone or recognize a person’s achievements.
Here is some great information that I found recently about “thank you notes”!
1- If you are using a printed thank-you card, always include a personal, handwritten note.
2- Thank them for the gift and mention how you will use it. If you’re thanking your boss, staff or a supplier, thank them for their help on a project and let them know how their assistance contributed to your success.
3- Let them know you look forward to working with them again in the near future.
4- Sign off- “Regards, your name”.
5- Don’t send thank you notes via e-mail. That’s lazy.
6- Keep your thank-you notes short and sweet. It’s not a business letter or an opportunity to pitch a new idea.
Look for opportunities to say thanks! They are around every corner…
1- Thanks for the lead.
2- Thanks for the much needed advice.
3- Thanks for going above and beyond in getting the order out the door.
4- Thanks for staying late or working the weekend to get the job done.
5- Thanks for the money-saving suggestion.
6- Thanks for thinking of us for all your _______________ needs!
